VENICE 1898 - augmenting film archive

WK Dickon’s silent film Venice's Grand Canal 1898, is cleaned, steadied, slowed and ‘depth analysed’ to extract the 3D information within the original 72mm film archive. The camera lens and plane is placed onto Google Earth, to reveal the exact location of the filming took place.

A collaboration with the British Film Institute, National Archive.
